Roaring Blues of Rory Gallagher
Clapton, Hendrix and Gallagher? While the first two are household names, most aren't familiar with Irish blues guitarist Rory Gallagher. Proud to say I helped break him in on the Barry Richards Rock Show in Baltimore on CBS (WMAR) in 1973. An incredibly promising young talent who never got the acclaim he deserved.
Unfortunately he died young at 47 after complications from a liver transplant, but fortunately we have a few clips of him from the show. Kick back and enjoy his performance of "Walk on Hot Coals" along with an interview of the young man.
